Summer Accelerated Programs: Getting Ahead

I am no expert but I am a participant in this accelerated program. I was presented with an opportunity presented to my class. I was excited to think about getting ahead and start teaching as soon as possible.

The opportunities may change and I will not guarantee that Lowell will be an option again. However, there is currently an accelerated term 2 and term 3 summer program. This means if you have completed your first semester of practicum in the spring, you can accelerate your 3rd semester in the summer following that. If you complete your first of practicum in the fall and your second in the spring you can accelerate your 3rd semester in the summer following that year. Lowell summer practicum has been around for a few years and is in the form of working the summer camp at Lowell teaching Science to kids of all ages. This experience is paired with 405 and 406. Other courses can be taken on top of these classes but must not interfere (online). Above is a sample schedule provided for the summer of 2020 for better reference of what this looks like. Summer terms begin June 1 and ends the first week of August before Fall semester begins.
